Oregon climbs to No. 4 in latest AP, coaches polls

Oregon shocked the nation Saturday with a thrilling 35-28 win over Ohio State in Columbus.
On Sunday, the latest iteration of the college football polls were released and they reflected the significance of the victory.
In both polls, Oregon came in at No. 4, marking the first time since 2019 that it has cracked the top-five in either poll. It is Oregon’s best AP ranking since 2014, when reached as high as No. 3.
Oregon’s substantial leap from No. 12 to No. 4 in the AP Poll is the biggest gain of any team in the top-25. The Ducks are the top-ranked Pac-12 team.

UCLA (13) and Arizona State (19) were the only other teams from the conference to crack the top-25. USC and Utah both dropped out after suffering losses on Saturday.
The top-three teams were the same in both polls. Alabama held on to its No. 1 ranking, while Georgia and Oklahoma slotted in behind them.
Oregon does not play another ranked team until it travels to face UCLA on Oct. 23.
