Oregon DL Bear Alexander Announces NFL Decision
One of Oregon’s key pieces on the defensive line this season has announced his future decision. Transfer defensive tackle Bear Alexander announced moments ago he will return to Oregon for his final season.
There was speculation about Alexander as he fell in the middle of most NFL mock drafts. But the way he has played the past 4-6 weeks has been some of his best ball of his career.
This season he has been a key piece to a defense that does not give up much on the ground. He has 45 tackles and 1.5 sacks with 6. 5 tackles for loss. But his presence has been a massive impact in several big games.

As you’ll recall, Alexander transferred from USC last season. Prior to that he began his college career at Georgia. Coming out of high school in the 2022 class, Alexander was the No. 45 overall player in the Rivals Industry Rankings.
Oregon did not sign a huge defensive tackle class this cycle. Meaning the return of Bear Alexander comes as a huge win for talent and depth. A decision has not been announced from fellow defensive lineman A’mauri Washington as of this time. However he is getting early round, even first round considerations.
This was the announcement from Alexander on his Instagram post.
“I prayed for this moment. Grateful beyond words to be back on the field.
Every doubt, every setback, every hard day led me back here. I am truly thankful for my staffs COMMITMENT to my growth both personally and professionally. Stepping back onto this field felt like breathing again and I’m forever grateful. Being away from the game last year was tough, I really missed this more than I can explain.
Thankful for the strength, support, and grace that brought me back to this point in my life with all my dreams within reach 🙏🏾.
This isn’t just football-this is healing, I have grown TREMENDOUSLY in my short time in Eugene. And I can’t wait to see me as a finished product NEXT YEAR 😉. LETS RUN IT BACK DUCKS FAMILY 🦆.
Love Yall
