Oregon Ducks missing several key players for Week 11 matchup with Washington

The No. 6-ranked Oregon Ducks appear to be mostly healthy for their pivotal Week 11 rivalry showdown with No. 23 Washington.
But that doesn’t mean the Ducks aren’t missing some firepower.
During pregame warmups Saturday at Autzen Stadium, a handful of key contributors were not in uniform.
The most notable among them is senior receiver Chase Cota.
Cota left the Ducks’ Week 9 win over Cal with an apparent knee injury and was sidelined for the Week 10 game at Colorado, too. He has not practiced since then. Prior to his injury, Cota had started every game this year and was the team’s second-leading receiver with 313 yards and one touchdown on 23 catches before the injury.
Dont’e Thornton and Josh Delgado are the most likely candidates to see an uptick in playing time with Cota sidelined.
Cornerback Jahlil Florence was not in uniform during warmups and will not be available. Florence has arguably been the Ducks’ most impactful true freshman this season. The former 4-star recruit has played in six games and has one interception and eight tackles on the year.
Offensive lineman Steven Jones was not in uniform either. Jones, who began the year as Oregon’s starting right guard, suffered an injury in Week 2 and has not played since.
He was a limited participant in practice this week but did not take part in position-specific drills during the portion of practice that was open to reporters.

Sophomore running back Byron Cardwell was not seen during pregame warmups. Cardwell, who has not played since Week 2, took part in position drills during the week.
On a positive note for the Ducks, star edge rusher DJ Johnson is in uniform and appears to be full-go.
Johnson, who leads Oregon with six sacks on the season, was dinged up during the Cal game and was not in uniform for the Colorado game.
Freshman running back Jordan James went through warmups, too, after missing the Colorado game.
Defensive lineman Taki Taimani is in uniform and went through warmups as well. He has not played since Oregon’s Week 8 win over UCLA, and was in a walking boot for a few weeks after suffering an injury during that game.
