Oregon Ducks Wide Receiver Jurrion Dickey Suspended Indefinitely

Oregon Ducks redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jurrion Dickey is indefinitely suspended, head coach Dan Lanning said on Tuesday.
Details were sparse, but Lanning spoke more to the current situation around the pass catcher.
“Right now I’m not gonna spend a lot of time on it. Jurrion’s indefinitely suspended with us right now,” Lanning told reporters in Eugene. “We got two team rules and that’s be respectful, be on time. There’s some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us and we needed a break from that so we could focus on what’s in front of us right now.
‘Wishing him nothing but the best as far as success and want to see him get back to where he can be a contributor for somewhere—that might be here that might be somewhere else. But won’t spend any more time on that.”
Following the departures of veterans Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden, Dickey was expected to be in the mix to become a key contributor for Ross Douglas and the Oregon offense.

Dickey signed with the Ducks as a Rivals Industry 5-star wide receiver from Menlo Atherton (Calif.) in the 2023 recruiting class. The 6-foot-2, 213-pound pass catcher was also an Adidas All-American and was On3’s No. 2 wide receiver in the country.
During his three seasons in Eugene, Dickey appeared in 15 games and caught three passes for 14 total yards.
With Dickey suspended, Oregon is expected to field a starting group that will feature some mixture of Dakorien Moore, Kyler Kasper, Gary Bryant Jr., Justius Lowe, Jeremiah McClellan and Malik Benson among other wide receivers.
