Oregon Ducks wide receiver Evan Stewart has suffered a significant injury. Earlier this week, the senior receiver tore his patellar tendon.

The news was first reported by College Football Headlines (@CFBHeadlines on X) and a source has confirmed the development with ScoopDuck.

The recovery timeline for a torn patellar tendon can range from 3 to 12 months depending on the severity of the tear.

Stewart’s injury occurred on Tuesday and there are more tests ongoing and the team is working to determine the extent of his injury, per source.

As a junior in 2024, Stewart played in 13 games and caught 48 passes for 613 yards and five touchdowns. His 48 receptions were second on the team and his five touchdowns were tied for second behind only Tez Johnson.

With Stewart expected to miss time, new wide receivers coach Ross Douglas will need someone to step up in his room. Oregon fans are undoubtedly most excited about former 5-star plus+ recruit Dakorien Moore, a true freshman who joined the Ducks as an early enrollee in the winter.

Redshirt senior Gary Bryant Jr., junior Justius Lowe, redshirt junior Kyler Kasper and redshirt sophomore Jurrion Dickey highlight Oregon’s most experienced returners at the position. The Ducks also went out and signed Florida State wide receiver Malik Benson during the offseason.

There’s also plenty of young talent that could find themselves in the mix for more targets as well. Redshirt freshman Dillon Gresham may have had the best spring game performance of any receiver and Jeremiah McClellan was a former All-American and has shown he’s got some talent. True freshman Cooper Perry was another guy I had a few sources speak very highly about his with his consistency in spring football.
