Oregon Five-Star SAF Jireh Edwards Locks in Commitment Date

It’s turning from visit szn to commit szn. And I know for Oregon fans good news can’t come fast enough.
The latest major target to lock in a commitment date is St. Frances Academy (Md.) safety Jireh Edwards. On3’s Hayes Fawcett reports Edwards will make his commitment on July 5.
His finalists include: Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder is the No. 21 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 2 ranked safety in the country.
His current official visit schedule is as follows:
April 12: Georgia
May 30: Auburn
June 3: Florida (UOV)
June 6: Alabama
June 13: Texas A&M
June 20: Oregon
The five-star was back in Eugene on the weekend of April 20. One of his close friends, Trey McNutt, signed with Oregon as part of its 2025 class.

“All I can say, the grass is damn Green in Eugene,” Edwards said. “Sco Ducks.
“Experience is always great up at Oregon. Definitely can see myself playing for Coach Lanning and Coach Tosh.”
Oregon currently has one safety commit from four-star Xavier Lherisse. The Ducks are expected to sign at least three safeties in this class.
