Report: Oregon Football Loses Assistant Coach
Oregon has seen some roster turnover this offseason. Not much, but some. And just when you thought it was done, it was not.
Oregon running back coach Carlos Locklyn was linked to the Ohio State running back position headed into the weekend. On Sunday night it was reported Locklyn is expected to be named the next running back coach for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.
ScoopDuck was also able to confirm the original report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz with sources at Oregon.

Prior to his time at Oregon, Locklyn broke into the college ranks at Memphis. He then worked at Florida State and Western Kentucky before joining Lanning’s staff in 2022.
Oregon resumes Spring practices this week. Lanning will begin his search for Locklyn’s replacement immediately. His successor will inherit a loaded running back room in Eugene. The Ducks return Noah Whittington, Jordan James and several other backs.
Oregon star running back Bucky Irving opted for the 2024 NFL draft following the season.
The Ducks do not have a current running back commit in the 2025 class.
