Oregon Outside Linebacker Jaxson Jones Intends to Enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Oregon true freshman outside linebacker Jaxson Jones plans to enter the transfer portal, according to a Sunday evening report from On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound lineman signed with Oregon as a three-star (88.95 per On3 Industry) prospect in the 2024 recruiting recruiting class out of Yuma (Ariz.) Catholic High School. He was one of two edge rushers the Ducks signed in their historic 2024 recruiting class, alongside fellow Arizona native Elijah Rushing, an On3 Industry four-star prospect from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic.
The one-time Washington commit chose the Ducks over scholarship offers from schools like USC, Michigan and Notre Dame among others.
He did not record any statistics during his one season in Eugene and he will have four years of eligibility at his next school.
