PODCAST: Ducks to Hire New WR Coach, Jadon Canady Commits to Oregon

On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins react to the expected hire of Syracuse’s Ross Douglas as Oregon’s next wide receivers coach. He joins the Ducks after spending the 2024 season in New York with head coach Fran Brown. Douglas also brings NFL experience from his time with Bill Belicheck and the New England Patriots.
This hire comes amid speculation that Oregon running backs coach Ra’Shaad Samples could move back to wide receivers coach, a position he oversaw on Kenny Dillingham‘s staff at Arizona State.
Douglas doesn’t have an extensive track record of being an elite recruiter, but it’s not far-fetched to think that he could hit the ground running and take his profile to the next level with the Oregon and Nike brands in Eugene.
Additionally, Max and J Hop dive into the commitment of former Ole Miss defensive back Jadon Canady. Canady will spend his last college season with the Ducks after playing at Ole Miss and Tulane between 2021 and 2024. His decision to come to Oregon came shortly after safety Kobe Savage decided to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
