2026 4-star Winter Garden (Fla.) The First Academy safety Devin Jackson is ready to come off the board.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back shared that he will be announcing his college commitment on Thursday July 3. He will choose from a top five of Florida, LSU, Miami, Nebraska and Oregon.

Jackson is the No. 133 player in the On300 rankings, the No. 14 safety and the No. 19 prospect in the state of Florida. He was previously committed to Florida, but opted to re-open his recruitment on April 17, backing off an eight-month pledge to Billy Napier and the Gators.

He took official visits to LSU, Miami, Nebraska and Oregon this month. The Cornhuskers got the last official visit, but he did take an unofficial visit to Florida this month as well.

The Ducks offered Jackson in January, and he took his first trip out to Eugene in May for a spring practice. The blue-chipper from the Sunshine State said the Ducks checked a lot of boxes on that visit.

“Development most importantly and then student situation, he told ScoopDuck after the visit. “Like the living situation for the players. They check the box on that. And then the facility, they check the box on that. How they recover, the weightlifting, and all that. Just being away, like not many distractions at Oregon. Just football and class.”

The Ducks have two safeties committed in their 2026 recruiting class. 2026 On3 Industry 4-star Melbourne (Fla.) Eua Gallie safety Xavier Lherisse committed to Oregon in February and projects to fill the nickel/STAR role for Chris Hampton. On3 Industry 5-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman safety Jett Washington committed to Oregon earlier this month and is the headliner of this year’s haul.

With 4-star safety Joey O’Brien committing Notre Dame this month and 4-star safety Jireh Edwards trending to Alabama, Hampton and the Ducks would love to wrap up their safety haul with a commitment from Jackson.

And it looks like they’re the favorites to land him, with On3’s Steve Wiltfong logging a prediction in favor of Oregon on Saturday.
