Oregon Hosting Elite WR Transfer
Dan Lanning continues to work on making Oregon better through the transfer portal. And he’s once again back on the ‘offensive’ literally with one of the top playmakers in the portal.
Matt Zenitz of 247Sports is first to report Oregon will host former Texas A&M wide receiver transfer Evan Stewart this weekend. The 6-foot, 170-pounder is the No. 2 ranked prospect in the current On3 Transfer Portal Rankings.
The Ducks got some big news just ahead of this with Tez Johnson announcing his plans to return. Oregon is looking to bolster that receiver room with a potential addition of Stewart as well.
Coming out of high school, Stewart was the No. 8 ranked player nationally and No. 2 ranked wide receiver. Stewart signed with A&M as a part of its 2022 recruiting class.
Last season Stewart recorded 514 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
Florida State, Ole Miss and USC are a few others linked to his recruitment after entering the portal.
