Oregon Official Visit On Deck for 5-Star Na'eem Offord

The Ducks made some headlines a few weeks back bringing in one of the top Ohio State commits in the country.
Since his commitment in February, Parker (Ala.) cornerback Na’eem Offord has been pretty locked in. However the No. 8 ranked player in the country recently visited Oregon raising some eyebrows. It didn’t change his commitment status but the Ducks seem to be in the mix at the very least.
While his visit to Oregon sparked some chatter, Offord maintains he’s still locked in with Ohio State.
“I wasn’t really tripping when I saw the chatter,” Offord told ScoopDuck’s Max Torres. “I laughed at it, I thought it was funny. I’m still locked in. But Oregon is a pretty good school. Really good coaches. It was really a relationship with them and wanting to get out to see it. As of right now I’m 100-percent locked in.”
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder is not done taking visits however.
“I’m attending Oregon June 14 for an official visit. Then Ohio State on June 21. Those are the only two for June. I’m gonna take Auburn and Alabama and USC later during the season.”

Offord talked about what caught his eye in Eugene.
“I would say being around the players. They already know what’s what and how the playbook is, the classes, the scheme. They’ve been around the coaches already. They said the coaches act the same off the field as they do on the field. They’re good guys.”
Who is leading in the recruitment for the Ducks?
“Coach Lanning, (Rashad) Wadood, all of them. I’m around all of them whenever I’m around. They doing everything they can to get me.”
And why is Oregon a threat to flip the Ohio State commit?
“They are good at winning. They put 8 guys in the league this year. That’s big. Their marketing is crazy too. They got some good connections.”
What does the five-star like to do when he’s not intercepting passes on the football field?
I’m a funny guy. I like to do podcasting, I might go into communications.
