Oregon to be a 5-seed in NCAA Tournament

After a rough stretch in the middle of the season, Oregon finished the regular season winning 7 straight. That winning streak would extend to 8 after defeating Indiana in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Ducks would fall to the top seed, Michigan State, but is now 24-9 heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Bracketology Predictions
Ahead of Sunday’s unveiling of this year’s bracket, Oregon was a consensus 4 or 5 seed. They were most commonly mocked in the West Region, playing in Seattle, WA for the first two rounds.

Ducks Opponent
The Ducks will face No. 12 seed Liberty on Friday in Seattle, WA., as a part of the East region. The time of this matchup is TBD as of now. Liberty is very good at taking care of the ball, and they are a very good defensive team as well. As previously mentioned, the Flames don’t turn the ball over often, only 10.1 turnovers per game. They are led by senior Taelon Peter and senior Kaden Metheny, who each score 13 points per game. As a team, Liberty shoots 39% from deep, and have two players averaging over 20 minutes a game that are over 40% from three on the year.
Truthfully, I don’t love the draw here for Oregon, but will do more research for a more detailed preview before gameday.
