Oregon's Popo Aumavae announces he will return to Ducks for 2022 season
Oregon’s 2022 roster just got a whole lot better.
Entering this week, there were still a handful of Oregon players on the fence as to whether they will enter the NFL Draft, or return to school. One of the most significant of those players announced he will be back in Eugene next fall.
Popo Aumavae, Oregon’s all-Pac-12 nose tackle, announced Wednesday that he will return for the 2022 season.
In his announcement, Aumavae also disclosed that he will miss Wednesday’s Alamo Bowl due to injury.

During his junior season, Aumavae started all 13 games for the Ducks and racked up 36 tackles and three tackles for loss.
Pro Football Focus grades Aumavae out at an 81.3 on the season, making him the 23rd highest-graded interior lineman in the nation.
Aumavae’s announcement comes one day after Brandon Dorlus said he also intends to return for the 2022 season.
That means the Ducks will return a pair of all-conference interior defensive lineman, and they will also bring back Keyon Ware-Hudson, as well as a handful of other key players in the trenches.
