Oregon's T.J. Bass named second-team All-American by The Athletic
The year-end accolades continue to roll in for Oregon left tackle T.J. Bass.
Bass, a fifth-year senior who started every game for the Ducks this season, was named a second-team All-American by The Athletic on Wednesday.
He is the lone Oregon player, and one of just six Pac-12 players, who landed on either of the publication’s All-American teams.
In 12 games this season, Bass has played 828 offensive snaps — the third-most among Oregon offensive players and the 13th-most among all Pac-12 offensive linemen, according to Pro Football Focus. He has not surrendered a sack and has surrendered just two quarterback hits.

Bass’s overall PFF grade of 77.4 is the 18th-best among Pac-12 offensive linemen.
The Deming, Wash., native is in his third year with the Ducks after beginning his career at Butte College. On Tuesday, Bass was one of three Ducks to garner first-team all-Pac-12 honors, along with center Alex Forsyth and cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
This marks the second year in a row that Bass has been a first-team all-conference selection.
According to ESPN’s latest 2023 NFL Draft rankings, Bass is the No. 129 overall prospect and the No. 11 offensive tackle.
