The No. 7 Oregon Ducks kicked off the 2025 season with a 59-13 win over the Montana State Bobcats Saturday in Eugene. Saturday’s win extended Oregon’s 21st straight win in home openers
Quarterback Dante Moore completed 18-of-23 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 18 yards on three carries in his first start at Oregon. Noah Whittington was Oregon’s leading rusher with 10 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown. Senior Malik Benson was the leading receiver with five catches for 51 yards and a touchdown in his Oregon debut.

Defensively the Ducks logged three sacks, seven tackles for loss and three pass breakups. Outside linebacker Matayo Uiagalelei logged two sacks and defesive tackle A’Mauri Washington recorded five tackles, which tied for a team-high. The Oregon defense bottled up Montana State’s vaunted rushing attack for just 46 total rushing yards and 244 total yards of offense.
Next weekend the Ducks will face the Oklahoma State Cowboys at home in Week 2 on September 6 at 12:30 pm PT.
