PODCAST: Oregon Lands 2026's No. 1 CB Davon Benjamin

Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class continues to climb the national rankings, as the Ducks now sit at No. 3 nationally in Rivals Industry team recruiting rankings after landing a 4-star Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian cornerback Davon Benjamin. He was the second commitment of the week for Oregon, as Rivals Industry 5-star Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal EDGE Anthony ‘Tank’ Jones picked the Ducks over the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday.
Benjamin committed to the Ducks on Saturday night, picking Dan Lanning‘s program over Michigan, Texas, North Carolina and Washington. The newest Oregon commit ranks No. 22 nationally according to the Rivals300 rankings, the No. 1 cornerback and the No. 3 prospect in California.
He’s the 17th verbal commitment and the fourth defensive back to commit to Chris Hampton and Rashad Wadood this cycle, joining Rivals Industry 5-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman safety Jett Washington, 4-star Winter Garden (Fla.) The First Academy safety Devin Jackson and Rivals Industry 4-star Melbourne (Fla.) Eua Gallie safety Xavier Lherisse in Oregon’s secondary.
ScoopDuckOn3’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins are back with another episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast to break down Benjamin’s Oregon commitment and what it means for the Ducks moving forward. In this live edition of the podcast, they also answer live viewer mailbag questions on Oregon Football and recruiting.
