Oregon Football kicked off the 2025 season with a dominant 59-13 win over the Montana State Bobcats this weekend.

Quarterback Dante Moore shined in his Duck debut, completing 18-of-23 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns. He showed great poise, took what the defense gave him and distributed the ball effectively. Everybody pitched in from the Oregon backfield, but no one scored more than true freshman running back Jordon Davison, who found the end zone three times in his first taste of college action.

The Oregon defense held strong against one of the top rushing attacks in college football last year, limiting the Bobcats to just 46 rushing yards and 244 total yards of offense. Matayo Uiagalelei may have had the best individual performance, bringing down quarterback Justin Lamson twice as he defends his crown as the Big Ten sack leader. A’Mauri Washington was a force on the interior of Tony Tuioti‘s defensive line and should be a key leader for Tosh Lupoi‘s defense in 2025.

ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins sit down to give their thoughts on Oregon’s week 1 win and what we learned about this year’s version of the Ducks.

Next up for Oregon is another home game agains the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 12:30 PM PT. The Cowboys are coming off of a 27-7 win over UT Martin to open the 2025 season.
