It’s been a long few weeks for Duck fans. No. 5 Oregon last played on November 29 in a 26-14 win over the rival Washington Huskies in Seattle.

Now Dan Lanning and his squad return home to Eugene to host the first College Football Playoff game in Autzen Stadium as the No. 12 James Madison Dukes come to town for the first meeting between the two programs.

ScoopDuckOn3’s Max Torres and Ted Leroux of That Show Out West sit down to give their thoughts on the latest headlines around the Oregon Football program.

With wide receivers Dakorien Moore, Gary Bryant Jr. and Evan Stewart all participating to some degree in the media viewing portion of Monday’s practice, excitement is brewing among the Oregon fanbase around a potential return to action. Moore missed all of November and Bryant wasn’t much better off after getting injured early in the Iowa game. Duck fans everywhere are hoping this weekend’s matchup against James Madison will give them their first look at Stewart in 2026 after he suffered a knee injury this summer.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore is under the national spotlight as Duck fans and NFL front offices both anxiously await a decision on his NFL future. Will he head to the NFL or return to Eugene for one more season of college football with the Ducks?

Oregon’s 11-1 regular season featured a lot of bright moments like road wins over Iowa and Washington as well as a home win over old Pac-12 foe USC. A slew of injuries and overcoming those injuries has proven Oregon to be a battle-tested team as the Ducks head into the playoff.

Will one playoff win be enough to say that Lanning and his program have taken their next step? Or do we need to see more from Oregon? All that and more on the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast.
