Oregon has landed another signing day pledge as 2026 College of San Mateo cornerback Trevon Watson committed to the Ducks on Wednesday.

Watson is listed at 6-foot, 185-pounds and was a late riser for the Ducks this cycle.

He was in Eugene for his one and only official visit during the USC game and Lanning and company extended an offer during his trip. In speaking with ScoopDuck following the trip he highlighted the development and culture as a few aspects that stood out about the program.

Watson chose Oregon over offers from other schools like Boise, North Texas, Texas State and Western Illinois among others.

He’s expected to have at least two years of eligibility upon arriving in Eugene, with junior college prospects typically having three years to play two seasons.

Watson continues a trend of College of San Mateo players heading to Oregon, as he’ll follow in the footsteps of cornerback Sione Laulea and former Duck safety Bennett Williams (Green Bay Packers) and offensive lineman George Moore.

Watson is now the sixth defensive back in Oregon’s 2026 class.

He’s the second commit of the day at his position after Columbia (SC) AC Flora athlete Azel Banag announced his commitment to the Ducks Wednesday morning.

He also joins Rivals Industry 5-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman safety Jett Washington, 4-star Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian cornerback Davon Benjamin and 4-star Winter Garden (Fla.) The First Academy safety Devin Jackson in the secondary.
