Oregon is on the board with another defensive commit. This time it’s cornerback Caleb Presley committing to Oregon over Washington, Alabama and others.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder is the nation’s No. 83 ranked player per the On3 Consensus Rankings. He is also the No. 8 ranked cornerback nationally.

Presley is also the No. 2 player from the state of Washington in the 2023 class.

The four-star has visited Oregon at least four times since September. However he has yet to take his official visit.

Presley was one of our next five to commit article from late June.

Oregon now has 10 verbal commitments in the 2023 class. Half of those commits are defensive backs with Presley joining that group.

On3 Scouting Report

Two-way player that possesses natural ball skills at receiver and corner, while projecting on defense long-term. Smooth mover that has the ability to stick his foot in the ground and break on the ball with ease. Technical corner that has fluid movement skills. Looks comfortable and patient in coverage and does not play out of control. Has good length, with a 6-foot-4 wing-span at around 6-feet in height. Long speed appears strong but not elite. Ran an electronically-timed 4.62 40 in 2020 as a freshman. Shows more twitch and wiggle than long speed as a return man for kickoff and punt. Need to see him add some mass to a leaner athletic frame in order to reach his max potential at the next level.
