Oregon has secured an early but big verbal commitment in the 2027 class. Moments ago Lincoln (Calif.) EDGE Prince Tavizon announced his commitment to Oregon.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder is one of the best players at his position for 2027. Tavizon is currently the No. 107 ranked player nationally and No. 15 ranked EDGE prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings.

“Coach Kam, I feel like all he talks about is the truth,” he said. “He’s gonna tell you when you’re wrong and when you’re right. Coach Tosh, he’s just straight up and Coach Bryan, he’s a funny dude.”

Already he had collected offers from USC, Texas A&M, Miami and others.

The four-star was part of a big group of visitors for Oregon this weekend. Many of the visitors participated in an ‘elite camp’ at Oregon in front of coaches and staff. This was at least his third visit to Eugene so far in 2025.

“It doesn’t get no greener than that for sure,” he said when asked what it’s like visiting Oregon. “It’s green out there and I feel like it’s in a great area. I love the trees. It’s great out there to be honest. There’s nothing else to say about it.”

Tavizon is now Oregon’s first and only commit in the 2027 class. Coming from Lincoln in San Diego, the Ducks have had a strong pipeline into the high school with recent quarterback Akili Smith Jr signing with the Ducks.
