Top Oregon QB Target Sets Commitment Date
As 2028 recruiting heats up, commitments are going to start coming off the board. And quarterback recruiting tends to move faster than most other positions.
Vista Del Lago (Calif.) quarterback Josiah Boyd could be one of the next dominoes to fall. The 6-foot-4, 175-pounder is the No. 69 ranked player in the Rivals Industry Rankings and No. 6 ranked quarterback nationally.
Boyd will make his college decision on November 23. His finalists are Kentucky, UCLA and Oregon.
“There’s nothing special about that day, it’s just a day I thought worked for the coaches and me,” Boyd told Rivals’ Greg Biggins. “I know all the coaches want to have an answer by then so they can move on to other quarterbacks if I go elsewhere.”
The talented four-star has been to Oregon this season for a game. He was at the Portland State win back in September. Oregon was considered a bit of an early leader but UCLA and Kentucky have kept things interesting.
“It was a blowout. They played Portland State. They had a good game,” Boyd told ScoopDuck. “Dante Moore came out slinging the rock, offense looked great, was moving the ball. The atmosphere was crazy, the fans were going wild. I just had a great time. It was a dope.”
Boyd has been to UCLA and just got back from Kentucky’s thrilling overtime win over LSU this last weekend.
There are currently four predictions in favor of the Ducks including Greg Biggins, Steve Wiltfong, Brandon Huffman and myself.
