The 2024 NFL Draft starts tonight. Penn State could have as many as two players go during the first 32 picks, which will be made during Round 1 in Detroit, Mich. No Nittany Lions are in town to potentially walk across the stage once their name is called by commissioner Roger Goodell, as offensive tackle Olu Fashanu and defensive end Chop Robinson were either not invited or chose not to attend. Either way, they could hear their name called, starting with Fashanu, who projects as anywhere from a top 10 to top 25 pick after coming back for a final season in State College in 2023.

“[Fashanu is] playing at a high level,” Lions offensive line coach Phil Trautwein said in November. “He’s working on the things he needs to work on: His punch, anchor, footwork, and pad level. He’s playing really consistently and has continued to get better and better. That’s his mindset, to show everyone he can do that week after week.”

Time, TV, and streaming info for the 2024 NFL Draft

Round 1 begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET. It will be televised by ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network across all cable and streaming services and devices. The NFL Channel will stream the draft, as well.

For those hoping to do some advance planning, Rounds 2-3 are held starting Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Then, Rounds 4-7 will be held from Noon ET until roughly 7 p.m. ET on Saturday. The same networks and platforms that are listed above will carry the picks as they happen.

Which Penn State players are still on the board?

All of them, of course, at this point in time. We project that 9 to 10 former Nittany Lions will be picked this weekend. For reference throughout the Draft, this section will change daily to include who remains from the program’s Pro Day participants list. It included:

CB Johnny Dixon

S Keaton Ellis

OT Olu Fashanu

K Alex Felkins

CB Daequan Hardy

DE Adisa Isaac

LB Curtis Jacobs

TE Theo Johnson

CB Kalen King

C Hunter Nourzad

RB Trey Potts

DE Chop Robinson

OL Caedan Wallace

Who could learn their NFL home today?

As noted above, the list of possibilities includes Fashanu and Robinson. On3’s Andy Staples projects that the offensive tackle will go to the Tennessee Titans at No. 17. The NFL Mock Draft database consensus board sends the Maryland native to New Orleans at No. 14 overall. Some media mock drafts do have Fashanu in the 18-25 range. But, by and large, it’s safe to say many do not believe he will be available then.

As for Robinson, his outlook is a little less clear. Staples sends him to Baltimore in Round 1 with the No. 30 overall choice. The consensus for the former Penn State All-Big Ten pick is Tampa Bay at No. 26. Some have the Maryland native dropping into the second round, however. Like Odafe Oweh in 2021, if Robinson goes in the first round, it will likely be in the last five to seven picks.
