Watch: Penn State head coach James Franklin recaps 45-14 win over Indiana

Penn State improved to 7-2 Saturday with an impressive win over Indiana. The 45-14 score looked just as impressive on the box score, as the Nittany Lions more than doubled the Hoosiers in yardage, totaling 483 yards to just 196 for Indiana.
A big reason for that was Penn State’s effectiveness in totaling tackles behind the line of scrimmage, as the Lions totaled an eye-catching 16 tackles for loss, which is now the most in school history. Linebacker Kobe King led the team with 2.5 tackles for loss, while Nick Tarburton and Adisa Isaac also had two each.
The production offensively is even more impressive when you consider that Penn State’s offensive line was missing three starters in Caedan Wallace, Landon Tengwall and Olu Fashanu. Franklin said after the game that he was “proud” of that unit and how they performed.

“I’m really, really proud of those guys and what they did and how they did it and the sacrifices they’re making for the team,” Franklin said. “I thought some of our veteran guys did a good job helping those guys get ready this week.”
Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford finished the game completing 15 of 23 passes for 229 yards. He was replaced early in the third quarter with freshman Drew Allar. He finished 9 for 12 with 75 yards passing and two touchdowns.
