2025 California DB Maxwell Barbee commits to Purdue

Purdue has a late addition to its 2025 class: California defensive back Maxwell Barbee.
A product of Wilson High in Long Beach, Calif., Barbee came on the radar of the Boilermakers late. He took an official visit to Purdue this past weekend. Now, he’s a Boilermaker, committing today.
Barbee, who also had an offer from New Mexico, will sign with Purdue tomorrow. He is the 11th member of Barry Odom’s initial signing class.
In 2024, Barbee made 68 receptions for 1,220 yards–both school records–with 14 total TDs. He also has a school-record seven interceptions and 17 PBUs last season.
