MORE: Purdue portal tracker | Assessing Purdue’s portal needs

Purdue ILB Clyde Washington is in the portal as a grad transfer.

He is the fourth scholarship player to enter the portal, joining DB Ethon Cole, rush end DJ Allen and RB Christian Womack.

The 6-3, 245-pound Washington played in all 12 games last year and made three starts, finishing with 21 tackles. He had shoulder surgery in the offseason and spent much of the spring in a red jersey.

The Medford, N.J. native played in 27 games at Purdue, making 42 tackles with an interception in four seasons. He was committed to Temple before flipping to Purdue.

Washington’s grandfather played football for Purdue.

Washington’s loss means Purdue has Kydran Jenkins, Yanni Karalftis, Owen Davis and Winston Berglund at ILB.

The portal is open for 15 days, from April 16-30.
