Purdue in the Pros: Week 16
Several former Boilermakers are making an impact on Sundays this fall. Some play prominent roles, while others struggled their way through training camp. Today, GoldandBlack.com looks at how former Purdue players fared in Week 16 of the NFL Season.

DERRICK BARNES – DETROIT LIONS
While the Lions fell to the Steelers 29-24 in a dramatic finish, Barnes recorded four tackles. Detroit’s playoff hopes are on life support, and they need a win on Christmas Day against Minnesota to stay alive.
PAYNE DURHAM – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
The third-year tight end continues to serve almost exclusively as a blocking tight end, recording no stats in Tampa Bay’s 23-20 loss to Carolina. Two games remain for the Buccaneers, who travel south for an in-state showdown with the Dolphins at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday.
JALEN GRAHAM – SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Graham and the 49ers will take on the Colts in Indianapolis on Monday Night Football tonight.
CHARLIE JONES – CINCINNATI BENGALS
Jones was a healthy inactive for the Bengals’ 45-21 win over Miami. This marks his first healthy inactive of the season, a precarious sign with two games remaining in his third NFL season. Cincinnati hosts Arizona at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday.
SANOUSSI KANE – TENNESSEE TITANS
Tennessee signed Kane off of Baltimore’s practice squad this week after injuries in the secondary. He did not record any stats in the Titans’ 26-9 win over his former teammate George Karlaftis and the Chiefs. The Titans play host to the Saints on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
GEORGE KARLAFTIS – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Karlaftis recorded one tackle in Kansas City’s 26-9 loss to Tennessee. Eliminated from playoff contention, the Chiefs will miss the playoffs for the first time in Karlaftis’s NFL career. They take the field on Christmas night for a home contest against Denver.
MARCUS MBOW – NEW YORK GIANTS
Mbow played the second half of the Giants’ 16-13 loss to the Vikings at left tackle after an injury to the starter. He appears likely to see increased action in the final two games, starting with a 4:05 p.m. EST game at Las Vegas on Sunday.

RAHEEM MOSTERT – LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Mostert carried the ball once, caught a pass and returned two kickoffs for 53 yards as Las Vegas fell 23-21 against Houston. The 2-13 Raiders will take on New York at 4:05 p.m. EST next Sunday.
AIDAN O’CONNELL – LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
O’Connell served as the Raiders’ third-string emergency quarterback as they fell 23-21 to the Texans. Since returning from injury, he’s yet to appear in a game. Two contests remain for the 2-13 Raiders, starting with a 4:05 p.m. EST home kick against the Giants on Sunday.
TYRONE TRACY JR. – NEW YORK GIANTS
Tracy toted the rock 16 times for 71 yards and caught a pair of passes in New York’s 16-13 loss to Minnesota. He’s continued to put together a strong second season in the NFL despite the Giants’ 2-13 record. He’ll square off against former teammate Aidan O’Connell and Las Vegas on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST.
Practice squad: Reese Taylor (Denver)
Injured and out for season: Gus Hartwig (New York Jets), Rondale Moore (Minnesota), Cory Trice (Pittsburgh)
