Purdue in the Pros: Week 18
Several former Boilermakers are making an impact on Sundays this fall. Some play prominent roles, while others struggled their way through training camp. Today, GoldandBlack.com looks at how former Purdue players fared in Week 18 of the NFL Season.

DERRICK BARNES – DETROIT LIONS
The linebacker closed the 2025 season with three tackles in Detroit’s 19-16 win over Chicago. At 9-8, the Lions will miss the playoffs. Barnes finished his fifth NFL season with 75 tackles and four sacks.
PAYNE DURHAM – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Durham played 18 snaps of offense in Tampa Bay’s 16-14 win over Carolina on Saturday. He was targeted once, but he did not record any statistics. He saw an expanded role as a blocker this year, but he caught just one pass for 11 yards. The Buccaneers missed the playoffs with a record of 8-9.
CHARLIE JONES – CINCINNATI BENGALS
For the third straight week, Jones was inactive, this time as Cincinnati fell to Cleveland 20-18. He saw a career-high 42 kickoff return opportunities, averaging 25.8 yards per return and taking one for a touchdown. Jones also returned 13 punts for 115 yards. The Bengals finished 6-11, missing the playoffs to cap Jones’ third season.
SANOUSSI KANE – TENNESSEE TITANS
Kane’s seven tackles were the second-most by any Titan in their 41-7 loss to Jacksonville to close the season. After beginning the season with Baltimore, Kane played in Tennessee’s final two games. His second NFL season comes to a close with eight tackles in nine games played. Tennessee wrapped up the year with a 3-14 record.
GEORGE KARLAFTIS – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Karlaftis’ fourth NFL season ended with him being inactive in the Chiefs’ 14-12 loss to the Raiders. As Kansas City finished 6-11, Karlaftis will miss the Super Bowl for the first time in his NFL career. He recorded 25 tackles, including six sacks, this season.
MARCUS MBOW – NEW YORK GIANTS
Mbow started at left tackle for the second straight week as New York defeated Dallas 34-17. He saw substantial time in six games as a rookie, and he looks like a part of the future for the Giants. Their season came to an end with a 4-13 record.

RAHEEM MOSTERT – LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Mostert was inactive for Las Vegas’ 14-12 win over Kansas City. He played 12 games this season, rushing 22 times for 104 yards, catching 12 passes for 70 yards, and returning 23 kickoffs for an average of 29.3 yards. He’s now completed 11 seasons in the NFL.
AIDAN O’CONNELL – LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
O’Connell spent the majority of the Raiders’ 14-12 win over the Chiefs under center, completing 10 of 22 passes for 102 yards. He also ran for a gain of seven yards. This came as the only action of the season for O’Connell, who suffered a hand injury in the preseason. His third NFL season ends with Las Vegas holding a 3-14 record.
TYRONE TRACY JR. – NEW YORK GIANTS
Tracy shined in the Giants’ 34-17 win over the Cowboys to close the season. He carried the ball 18 times for 103 yards and caught eight passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Through two seasons, Tracy has established himself as a legitimate NFL running back. He finished his second season with 740 rushing yards, 288 receiving yards and four total touchdowns. New York missed the playoffs, finishing 4-13.
