Purdue lands Texas QB Hudson Card from portal

The Purdue offense added an interesting piece today when Texas quarterback Hudson Card committed to the Boilermakers.
The 6-2, 201-pound Card is a redshirt sophomore who will have three years of eligibility remaining in West Lafayette. He will be part of a quarterback room that loses Aidan O’Connell, Austin Burton and Brady Allen but is slated to return scholarship quarterbacks Michael Alaimo and Ryan Browne, an early enrollee.
Card joins a program now led by new coach Ryan Walters, who has tabbed Graham Harrell as offensive coordinator. Harrell is known for having quarterback-centric offenses, having been brought up in the “Air Raid” family under the late Mike Leach.
Card, a highly touted product from Lake Travis High in Austin, threw for 1,523 yards and 11 touchdowns with the Longhorns. He redshirted his first year in Austin in 2020 after playing in just two games.
