Purdue has hired Angel Matute as an offensive analyst working with the line, GoldandBlack.com has learned. He worked as an offensive graduate assistant at Minnesota in 2023.

Matute will take the role previously held by Justin Sinz, who was promoted to senior analyst/tight ends coach earlier this month to replace former tight ends coach Seth Doege, who left in December to become offensive coordinator at Marshall.

Matute (muh-TOOT-ay) was an offensive tackle at Missouri, appearing in one game in 2019 before taking a medical redshirt prior to the 2020 season, ending his career. He then became a student assistant and graduated from Missouri in 2021.

A native of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Matute matriculated to Missouri from Mt. San Antonio C.C. in California after beginning his career at Golden West College in California.
