In the wake of the May recruiting evaluation period, Purdue has broadened its list of priority targets for its next two classes.

In the Class of 2025, forward Trent Sisley has long been a priority, if not the priority, for what has looked on paper like a single-scholarship class. But perhaps reflecting the changing nature of roster composition once the House case settles, Purdue has been issuing more offers.

Blue-chip in-state wing Braylon Mullins has long been recruited by Purdue, but only just now offered. The 6-foot-5 Greenfield-Central star is a big-time multi-level shooter and shot creator but also a high-end athlete, particularly explosive at the rim.

Mullins has been a priority for Indiana and Notre Dame and others forever, but has fielded offers the past few days from North Carolina and Kansas, as well, giving him and his family a broader range of programs to consider, with more to come, you’d think.

Wednesday, Purdue offered guard Antione West of Whitmer High School in Toledo, joining a growing list of offers for him, too. Michigan, Ohio State, Creighton, Xavier, Nebraska and others have offered him.

It will be telling regarding Purdue’s outlook with its new senior-to-be targets if they make visits in June.

It is also worth noting that Purdue’s projected 2025 team could be loaded, and depending how this season plays out and certain players develop, and may not have any urgent, urgent needs.

PURDUE CLASS OF 2026 TARGETS

Purdue’s going to be very active recruiting juniors, a process that started long ago and now accelerates.

Wednesday, Painter offered forward Bo Ogden of Texas and Anthony Thompson of Ohio, as well as shooting guard Felipe Quiones of Puerto Rico, a grassroots teammate of recently offered Jermal Jones.

Ogden is interesting, a Robbie Hummel-ish perimeter-skilled forward and the son of long-time college head coach Chris Ogden, who’s now on staff at Texas; Thompson is a 6-7-and-growing shooter who’s still only 15 years old and bound to grow.
