UCLA WR Kam Brown commits to Purdue

Purdue has landed its first portal receiver, netting a commitment on Sunday from UCLA’s Kam Brown, who is a grad transfer with one season of eligibility. The 2024 season will be his sixth. Brown is Purdue’s eighth portal commitment.
Purdue is trying to replace its top three pass-catching wideouts who all entered the portal: Deion Burks, TJ Sheffield and Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen.

Brown played in nine games in 2023, making 13 catches for 163 yards and a TD in what was his third season at UCLA. He spent his first two seasons at Texas A&M. Brown boasts 61 career receptions for 846 yards and six touchdowns.
Brown played high school football at Colleyville (Texas) Heritage High, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 243 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
