4-star WR Aljour Miles commits to SMU over host of national programs

Kaufman (Tex.) wide receiver Aljour Miles has committed to SMU, he announced after his official visit to the Hilltop. The official visit sealed the deal for the four-star prospect.
“It was an awesome environment during the visit,” Miles told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “And my favorite things about the program are definitely the honesty and transparency in the coaching staff. I think that the big-play type of offense that they run is a perfect fit for my skillset.”
Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stanford, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and USC were among his top schools before he picked the Mustangs.

Miles was a top performer for On3 at the Under Armour Dallas camp earlier this year, which helped solidify him into On3’s On300.
“The wide receivers that compete at UA Dallas are always an impressive bunch. But none were more impressive on Sunday afternoon than Aljour Miles,” Bellaire said. “With his imposing frame and length, Miles was able to box out and bully defensive backs from start to finish. His natural hands and ability to pluck the ball effortlessly flashed during positional drills. He was smooth getting in and out of his breaks and had much more burst than expected for someone with his stature.

“In 1-on-1’s he was separating off the line of scrimmage with ease due to his hand fighting and suddenness off the line of scrimmage. And when it got to the catch point, it was all over. His strength and ability to attack the football made it impossible for defensive backs to knock the ball away from him. He was physically dominant and technically sound all afternoon.”
On3 ranks Miles as the No. 182 overall prospect in the country, No. 23 wide receiver prospect in the nation and No. 24 prospect in Texas.
SMU now has Miles and four-star in-state wide receiver X’Zavier Barnett a part of the 2026 class for Rob Likens’ wide receiver room.
