About SMU: SMU is 12-5 overall and has won six of its last seven games after the 77-64 victory against Temple on Tuesday. All 12 wins this season are by double digits. The Mustangs are 8-2 at home. In the win over Temple, Samuell Williamson had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Chuck Harris scored a team-high 18 points. B.J. Edwards added a career-high 10 points with six assists and three steals.

SMU held the Owls to 36.9% shooting, including 7-28 (25.0%) from 3-point range. The defensive effort included 10 steals and nine blocked shots. Keon Ambrose-Hylton had a career-high four blocks. SMU’s defense is among the best in the country. SMU is holding opponents to 36.7% (1st AAC, 2nd NCAA) from the field, holding 15 of 17 opponents under 42.0%.

About Tulsa: Tulsa is coming in off a big 107-78 win over UTSA to capture its first conference win of the season and move to 10-7 and 1-4 in The American. The Golden Hurricane broke the 100-point barrier for the first time since beating Northeastern State 107-74 in 2021. PJ Haggerty scored 25 to lead five Tulsa scorers in double figures. Cobe Williams, Isaiah Barnes and Tyshawn Archie all scored 17, and Jared Garcia added 12. The Hurricane shot incredibly well in the ballgame, hitting 59 percent from the field, 55.2 from 3-pointers and 82.6 at the charity stripe.

The Mustangs have won 14 of the last 17 meetings, including all six since the 2020-21 season. Tulsa leads, 33-26.
