SMU at TCU: How to watch, live stream, start time, TV channel

SMU hits the road for the second week in a row. This time, the Mustangs will make the short travel to Fort Worth to take on the TCU Horned frogs. The game is set for an 11:00 a.m. CT, kickoff on ESPN2. SMU will look to retain the Iron Skillet for the final time.
SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee spoke about how the team handle’s the emotions of rivalry games, especially with this being the final scheduled matchup between the two teams.
“None of the stuff around this game affects this team. That’s gotta be the mindset,” Lashlee said. “There is a lot of emotion around rivalry games when it comes to fan bases, but we can’t play emotional. We got to play passionate. We got to play with intensity and toughness and together. On the road when it’s kind of you versus everybody, you’ve got to have a different level of closeness, right, to to get through the ebbs and flows of the game because there are waves of emotion in the game, right?
“You’ve got to stay steady through all of that. If you make it emotional, then you’re probably not gonna play as good as you can and so we’ve got to fight that. We can’t get caught up in the emotion of it. We’re playing a really good team on the road. We’ve got to worry about SMU and if we play good SMU football, then we’ll give ourselves a chance to win.”

SMU will hope to have multiple starters back on defense for Saturday’s game. Linebackers Alexander Kilgore and Zakye Barker are tracking to play for the Mustangs.
“Kilgore practice today. We’re hopeful that he’ll be able to give it a go Saturday,” head coach Rhett Lashlee said Tuesday. “I say Barker’s still on track to try to give it a go as well. We may get a little help at linebacker, although those guys have played really well last few weeks.”
For TCU head coach Sonny Dykes, his team is coming off a win over Abilene Christian, but it’s also been a weird schedule to start the season. The Horned Frogs want to wake up and go play a game instead of wait around.
“Excited about playing at home, excited about an early start,” Dykes said this week. “I think our players, we’ve just done so much sitting around and waiting this year whether it was that first Monday then an open week off of that. We’re excited to wake up on Saturday morning and go play a football game so looking forward to that, especially playing at home.”
