TCU is coming off a 42-21 win over Abilene Christian that saw the Frogs get up 28-0 at halftime. In the 2nd half, Dykes didn’t see what he wanted out of his team though.
“I wish we would’ve ended the game a little cleaner than we did, but unfortunately, that’s kind of the way some of these games go,” Dykes said. “We just came out and didn’t have the same kind of mindset and killer mentality we needed in the second half, and we got to do a better job.”

Lashlee saw his team go down 10-0 on the road at Missouri State before ripping off 28 unanswered to win, 28-10. He cited poor execution from his team early before the Mustangs ultimately settled down and won.
“We just settled down and started playing. We were running basic plays early in the game,” Lashlee said. “Everybody is going to think about the interception or Romello’s fumble, but we’re running base plays and not blocking the defensive tackle or not blocking the defensive end with our tight end or quarterback is taking a sack out of the pocket. A lot of really uncharacteristic, poor execution is what I would say.”
