SMU Basketball reveals 2025-26 schedule

After a strong debut campaign in the ACC under Andy Enfield, the schedule for the second season under his watch was announced Tuesday. SMU Basketball will welcome North Carolina for the first time to Moody Coliseum among other top games on the schedule.
Plus, the Mustangs head to Cameron Indoor to face the Duke Blue Devils on Jan. 10. After being beat up by some of the ACC’s best in Year 1, Enfield is expecting big things for an SMU team that finished tied for fourth in the league last season.
“We expect to win and compete, just like we did last year,” Enfield said over the summer. “That was our message to our returning guys last year, but also the 10 new players we have on the team. I know everybody’s new, staff new, players are new, but we want to compete. We want to compete with the top teams in our league, and we did that last year. We feel like we have enough talent. The three transfers we brought in, Corey Washington, Jaron Pierre Jr., and Sam Walters are all experienced guys, three returning starters that helped us win a lot of games last year, and then our freshmen.

“So this group is talented enough to win games. It’s going to be a matter of how they gel together. Can they share the basketball like we did last year? Can they elevate our defensive presence and be one of the top two or three teams in our league defensively? A lot to be determined. That’s why we play the games.”
Last season, the Mustangs went 24-11 overall and earned a No. 1 seed in the NIT. SMU finished 13-7 in the program’s inaugural season in the ACC to tie for fourth, recording a 7-3 road record in league play.
