SMU wing Stefan Todorovic entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to multiple reports on Monday. He averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 rebounds this season with the Mustangs.

He’ll have two seasons of eligibility remaining. He played in 31 contests with seven starts for SMU this year, shooting 35.2 percent and 31.6 percent from three-point range.

As a freshman in 2021-22, Todorovic played in 24 games, averaging 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds per game while shooting 37.1 percent from the field.

SMU guard Jefferson Koulibaly also entered the NCAA Transfer Portal this month. Koulibaly spent just one season on the Hilltop after transferring from Washington State.

The Montreal, Quebec native played in 18 games with one start for the Mustangs. He averaged 8.4 minutes per game, shooting 36 percent from the field and 46 percent from three-point range. He averaged just 1.6 points, .9 rebounds and .7 assists per game.

SMU honored four seniors on Senior Day against Memphis, which means six scholarships are now open for Rob Lanier’s staff to work with. Guards Zach Nutall and Darius McBride along with forwards Efe Odigie and Frank Agunanne were honored.

The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.

The process of entering the portal is done through a school’s compliance office. Once a player provides written notification of an intent to transfer, the office enters the player’s name in the database and everything is off and running. The compliance office has 48 hours to comply with the player’s request and that request cannot be refused.
