Wake Forest PG Kevin Miller commits to SMU

SMU Basketball landed a big-time transfer portal target over the weekend as Wake Forest point guard Kevin “Boopie” Miller committed to the Mustangs. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot sophomore averaged 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season. The Chicago native shot 36.9 percent from three-point range while starting all 35 games this season.
His conference-high in points came in a 27-point outburst against Miami while he scored a season-high 31 points against App State in the NIT. Against LSU, he notched a season-high eight assists and eight rebounds.
This year, Miller, who visited SMU this weekend, earned an Academic All-ACC honor, maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average for the fall semester and cumulatively.
Miller transferred into the Demon Deacons program last offseason, after playing the first two years of his career at Central Michigan. At Central Michigan, he averaged 13.8 points, 4.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.
