Beyond the Orange: Ethan Davis
Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis finished the regular season really strong after being banged up early in the season. He joined Beyond the Orange sponsored by Knoxville Smiles this week to talk about the season.
“For me personally I would just say there was a lot of learning,” Davis said. “Definitely some adversity that I had to push through but ultimately I took the steps this year that I needed to take to operate at a high level. Even with all the missed time, just being able to go out there and know the coaches had trust in me to pick up where I left off shows me a lot about them and my entire time here in Tennessee.”
So how difficult was the start to the season when he went from healthy to being unable to play due to a stinger?
“It was difficult,” Davis said. “My teammates did a great job of keeping me up during that time. Honestly I went into every week thinking I was playing. The decision came down to Thursday so I knew every single picture and install. I just knew to prepare as if I was playing because I didn’t know when it would come back.”
