Tennessee players react to senior day win over Vanderbilt

It was a victorious evening on Rocky Top as Tennessee poured it on in a win over instate rival Vanderbilt, 48-24. After the game, Vol players met the media to discuss the win.
Tennessee got off to a quick start on Saturday afternoon. Following a couple quick completions to Squirrel White and Chas Nimrod, Joe Milton found Ramel Keyton wide open on a post route in the middle of the field. Milton hit Keyton in stride and did the rest, going 56 yards for the touchdown.
Quarterback Joe Milton had his first 300 yard game of his Tennessee career with a second half connection with Keyton again on a touchdown pass, this time covering 46 yards. In total, Milton finished with six touchdowns, four passing and two rushing with nearly 400 yards through the air.
The six touchdowns responsible for from Joe Milton is the first time that’s happened for a Tennessee player since Jonathan Crompton back in 2009 against Memphis.

Tennessee tailback Jaylen Wright went over 1,000 yards for the season. He’s the 19th Tennessee running back to go over 1,000 yards in a single season and the first to do so since Jalen Hurd went for 1,288 yards on 277 carries in 2015. Wright did it in half the carries that Hurd had back in 2015.
Tennessee will now await their bowl destination, which should come out next weekend. The Vols finish the regular season with eight wins and an even 4-4 mark in Southeastern Conference play. It’s the fourth time Tennessee has won eight regular season games since Phillip Fulmer was head coach, but only the second since 2016.
