How it Happened: Tennessee completes sweep, winning 12-0 over Albany on Sunday

Tennessee made quick work of Albany in Sunday’s series-finale, winning 12-0 in run-rule seven innings to completed the sweep from Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The Vols (7-1) plated three runs in the first inning and then five more in the bottom of the sixth to highlight the win at the plate as Tennessee finished the ballgame scoring 12 runs off seven hits. UAlbany was shutout in the contest while only collecting one hit in the ballgame.
Nate Snead (2-0) picked up the win for the Big Orange after being the first reliever out of the bullpen. The hard-throwing right-hander tossed a scoreless 2.2 innings of work while striking out three and not allowing a hit. Thomas Quinn (0-1) is the losing pitcher for the Great Danes after allowing four runs on two hits over 2.2 innings of work.
Tennessee returns to action on Tuesday for a 4:30 first pitch against High Point at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. But first, here’s all it all went down on a Sunday win over Albany for Tennessee.
