Kickoff time, TV information announced for Tennessee's game at Alabama

Tennessee Football’s game at Alabama on October 18 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa will be an 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff and will be televised by ABC. The SEC announced the full schedule for Week 8 on Monday afternoon.
The Vols (4-1, 1-1 SEC) is coming off an open date and hosts Arkansas (2-3, 0-1) on Saturday (4:15 p.m. Eastern Time, SEC Network).
Alabama (4-1, 2-0) beat Vanderbilt 30-14 on Saturday and goes to Missouri this week in a Noon ET start on ABC.

Alabama leads the Third Saturday In October rivalry 59-40-1, a streaky series that dates back to 1901.
Tennessee has won two of its last three against the Crimson Tide, dating back to the 52-49 win at Neyland Stadium in 2022. That win snapped what was a 15-game winning streak for Alabama in the rivalry.Â
The Vols won seven straight between 1995 and 2001 and 10 of 12 between 1995 and 2006.Â
Tennessee’s 41-14 win in 1995 was the first for the Vols over Alabama since 1985. It was a four-game winning streak for Tennessee between 1982 and 1985 and 1967 and 1970 and 11 straight for Alabama between 1971 and 1981.
Alabama went 5-0-1 against Tennessee between 1961 and 1966 and Tennessee went 5-0-1 between 1955 and 1960.

Tennessee’s history with Alabama during the Josh Heupel era
Last season Chris Brazzell II caught a 16-yard go-ahead touchdown with 5:52 left in the fourth quarter and safety Will Brooks sealed with the win with an interception on Alabama’s final possession.
Tennessee won 52-49 on Chase McGrath’s 40-yard walk-off field goal in the 2022 thriller at Neyland Stadium. Hendon Hooker threw for 385 yards and five touchdowns, with all five touchdowns going to Jalin Hyatt, who had six catches for 207 yards.
The Vols led 20-7 at halftime in its last trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2023. Tennessee was up 13-0 at the end of the first quarter, after a 39-yard Squirrel White touchdown and two Charles Campbell field goals. The Crimson Tide scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to run away with a 34-20 win.Â
In 2021 Tennessee trailed 24-17 at the end of the third quarter in Tuscaloosa, before Alabama scored 28 points in the fourth on the way to a 52-24 win. Hooker threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns and Cedric Tillman caught seven passes for 152 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown.Â
