Trio of Tennessee standouts talk in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Miles Kitselman, Bryson Eason and Arion Carter met members of the local media for Tennessee on Tuesday in Atlanta ahead of the start of SEC Media Days.
For junior linebacker Arion Carter, the challenge for the Tennessee defense is continuing to lay as one and to do their job, trusting in the coaches this season. It worked out pretty well in that regard last season.
“I feel like coach Banks is going to put us in the best position possible to go out there and win behind our defensive structure. We trust him with everything we are going to do and we go out here and execute to the best of our ability,” Carter said. “Counting on all 11 doing our job at one point and having all 11 on one page. Going out there and representing our culture and our football team to the greatest way possible. I can’t wait to go out here and prove that this season coming up.”
Sixth-year senior defensive lineman Bryson Eason knows this is his last ride at Tennessee. This season will be the last time to win memorable games and make a College Football Playoff run with the Vols, but also to be involved in a tight group before exploring professional opportunities.
“I’ve talked to a couple of guys who have been blessed to make it to the next level and they always talk about the brotherhood and how the team is so close and you won’t get to experience that at the next level,” Eason said. “So, I’m just taking advantage f that opportunity to get better with my game and work on some things.”

The summer has been different for senior Miles Kitselman, who is recovering from an injury sustained at the start of Tennessee spring practice in March. The veteran is feeling good and believes he is on track to be back in the pivotal role as tight end for the Vols this season.
“Yeah, it’s going good. Ahead of schedule right now,” Kitselman said. “Just trying to focus day-by-day, but everything is going ahead of schedule. Doc says they can’t tell the difference. Feeling strong now and getting back out there on the field with everybody. We should be good to go.”
The Tennessee trio, along with head coach Josh Heupel, will continue making the rounds at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Ga. this afternoon for Tennessee day at SEC Media Days.
