Tight end Jude Wolfe is the latest USC Trojan to announce his entry into the transfer portal this offseason. Wolfe enrolled at USC as a four-star prospect in the 2019 class but dealt with a number of injuries during his time as a Trojan.

He’ll finish his USC career with 12 receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Wolfe announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal via social media.

“I would like to start by thanking all of my head coaches, position coaches, and teammates I’ve worked with over the last 5 years,” Wolfe wrote. “Thank you to all of the medical, training, and strength staff for providing me with excellent care and getting my health back to 100%. I am forever grateful to The University of Southern California for giving me the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree.

“Above all else, I want to thank God for blessing me with a loving family, supportive friends, and for all of my abilities, especially overcoming adversity.

“After thoughtful prayer and discussion with my family, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal.”

Wolfe enrolled at USC as an early enrollee in the spring of 2019 and looked impressive early before suffering a back injury. He was limited to four games that season, then broke his foot during the 2020 season. The 2021 season was the first time he was available for a year, though he missed spring ball ahead of that season. He did finish with eight receptions for 56 yards. Wolfe suffered an injury during the summer of 2022 and was out for nearly the entire season, appearing only briefly in the final three games. Before the injury, it looked like Wolfe was on his way toward making an impact in the first year of Lincoln Riley’s USC offense.

Wolfe did haul in his first touchdown catch in 2023 while playing in 11 games. He grabbed a two-yard score against Colorado that set off a notable celebration from his teammates, who were clearly excited to see Wolfe in the endzone.
