Evaluating top destinations for Arkansas OL transfer Andrew Chamblee
Arkansas offensive tackle Andrew Chamblee is expected to be one of the top targets when the transfer portal opens next week.
The former four-star recruit spent the last two seasons with the Razorbacks and announced his plans to enter the portal last month. He redshirted the 2022 season but started eight games this past year, earning a selection onto the All-SEC Freshman Team. Southeastern Conference rules bar the 6-foot-6, 318-pound lineman from transferring inside the league.
Andrew Chamblee played 405 snaps, which was the sixth most on the Razorbacks’ offensive line. He had a 40.9 pass-blocking grade, according to Pro Football Focus, and a 55.9 run-blocking grade.
A source close to the situation told On3 that five schools have emerged as top destinations to watch for the redshirt freshman. Florida State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and SMU are all expected to be in the mix.
Offensive tackles will be at a premium during the 15-day spring portal window. SMU lost four players to the portal during the winter window, including offensive tackle Marcus Bryant. Adding Chamblee would fill a position of need for the Mustangs.

Florida State is expected to contend for a College Football Playoff berth this season. Landing in Tallahassee would give the Arkansas transfer a chance to compete for a national title. The Seminoles lost Bless Harris to the portal and added a few additions, but Chamblee could provide needed depth.
Oklahoma State returns one of the top running backs in the country in Ollie Gordon, who rushed for 1,732 yards on 285 carries and 21 touchdowns. Playing at Kansas State would give Chamblee the chance to protect quarterback Avery Johnson, who is one of the top young quarterbacks in college football.
Kansas is coming off a 9-4 season and returns starting quarterback Jalon Daniels. Despite missing most of the season due to injury, Daniels threw for 705 yards and five touchdowns in three games.
