Tulsa transfer quarterback Braylon Braxton is starting to ramp up his portal recruitment.

The redshirt sophomore has played in 19 career games, playing in six this past season. Battling an ankle injury, he finished with 212 passing yards and two touchdowns. Despite the tough season on the field, he’s received plenty of interest since entering on Tuesday.

Braxton has scheduled visits in January to Marshall and North Texas, a source tells On3. UTSA has also expressed interest and could receive a visit, too. The quarterback’s best season came in 2022 when he completed 92 of 163 passes for 1,133 yards and 10 touchdowns. A dual-threat in the backfield, he also rushed for 145 yards and five scores.

To cap off the year, he earned Freshman All-America honorable mention accolades by College Football News. Braxton entered the transfer portal last year before deciding to withdraw his name and return to Tulsa.
