Former Missouri EDGE DJ Wesolak has committed to Oregon State, he announced via X on Tuesday evening. It’s a nice addition for newly hired head coach Trent Bray, bringing a former SEC player to the 2024 roster.

Wesolak only spent two seasons with Mizzou but was not able to record a statistic. He was able to get onto the field for five games as a true freshman but did not receive playing time during the 2023 season.

Oregon State is going through a bit of a transition period, on multiple different fronts. Bray has taken over the program after Jonathan Smith left for the Michigan State job. Of course, there is no more Pac-12 and the Beavers will be playing an unusual schedule.

Adding a piece like Wesolak is an encouraging sign for the future.

Wesolak played high school football at Boonville (MO) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 171 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
