Alabama lands commitment from USC CB Domani Jackson
USC transfer cornerback Domani Jackson has committed to Alabama, a major portal win for the Crimson Tide.
A Five-Star Plus+ recruit in the 2022 cycle, Jackson picked the Trojans over Alabama and Michigan coming out of high school. He now lands with the Tide; Texas and Texas A&M were also in the mix during his portal recruitment.
Just the second pickup of the portal cycle for Alabama, he joins Texas A&M transfer defensive lineman LT Overton. A product of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, Jackson will join a secondary stocked with talent.
Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold are two of the top corners in the country, leading an Alabama defense that ranks No. 17 in total defense. True freshman Caleb Downs has emerged as one of the top safeties in the nation, recording 99 total tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.
The cornerback started 11 games this season for USC, playing 668 defensive snaps. Targeted 31 times in coverage, he allowed 20 receptions for 411 yards and two touchdowns. He tallied 33 total tackles with three pass breakups.
Now he is headed to the SEC, joining the Alabama secondary.
